WebI'm still on AM4 and I've had a similar struggle 2 weeks ago regarding the bios flashback. The issue I faced was similar, the green light never stopped flickering and I just gave up on updating the bios through that method. Funny thing is, the solution was much simpler, I uses asus suite 3, the bios update setting.. If they are (assuming you have two sticks) then, try booting with just one. Also, make sure all your cables are connected correctly.
