Studies in different cohorts and with different setups have shown that those who had been exposed to the Dutch famine during any stage of gestation were found to have raised glucose levels as adults. WebFor 8 to 12 months following the starvation recovery, the study conducted follow-up examinations. During the first three months, the researchers observed and collected data about their participants’ normal eating behaviors. The participants ate food provided by a full-time cook and two assistants under the supervision of a trained dietitian.
