A standard set of headspace gauges doesn't really tell you much about the chamber/bolt combo except whether it will/won't close on a GO ga., a NO GO ga. or a Field ga. It can indicate there is a problem, or will be a problem if you con't fix it. On #2 & 3 above the bolt would close on a GO ga. You can accurately check head space with feeler gauges and a .45 ACP case. In order to check working head space with the Go-No Go gauges you will still need feeler gauges!
