Original surgery was 6 months ago. The problem is that the wound on top of my foot does not want to close. The doc left the stitches in 6 weeks this time and took a couple ... WebJul 11, 2006 · It's May 19th. I had my open surgery January 4th and this wound of mine is STILL NOT HEALED! My original wound was about 2.5 inches long by 1 inch wide and 1.5 inch deep. Not that bad. I made great progress for the first six weeks. Healed really fast. Went to doc for follow-up visits, everything looked great. Never had any signs of infection.
