O'reilly data intensive applications
WebSep 1, 2024 · These are my notes on Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann. A very data intense book. It made me smile that there is one chapter dedicated to the perils of distributed programming, when the fact is that the whole book is a warning after another of all the possible things that can go wrong. We are doomed. WebThe limited cache capacity and memory bandwidth make transferring and processing such data on traditional CPUs and GPUs highly inefficient, both in terms of energy consumption and delay. However, many IoT applications are statistical at heart and can accept a part of inaccuracy in their computation.
